Operating Principle & Applications

A Non-Return Valve (NRV)—commonly known as a Check Valve—is a unidirectional flow control device that allows line media to travel in a single direction while automatically preventing reverse flow.

In a Lift-Type Mechanism, the internal guided disc or piston moves vertically relative to the seat. Forward fluid velocity lifts the disc away from the renewable S.S. 410 seat to allow passage. When flow decreases or reverses, line backpressure and gravity immediately push the disc back down onto the seat, creating a precise, leak-tight seal.

Key Applications

Designed to manage severe operating conditions, this valve is suitable for:

  • Oil & Gas processing and refining lines
  • Chemical & Petrochemical processing plants
  • Industrial Water Supply and wastewater infrastructure
  • High-Pressure Steam and power generation facilities

Key Features & Benefits

  • High Temperature & Pressure Tolerance: Built with a sturdy WCB cast body rated up to Class 800 / ND-40 to perform reliably under high operational stress.
  • Corrosion & Wear Resistance: S.S. 410 trim components provide excellent defense against media erosion, pitting, and oxidation.
  • Bolted Bonnet Design: Facilitates straightforward inline inspection, maintenance, and seat/trim servicing without disassembling the pipeline.
  • Low Noise & Anti-Slam Operation: Guided vertical disc travel provides smooth actuation, helping reduce acoustic noise and mitigate water hammer.
  • Self-Cleaning Seat Surface: High fluid velocity across sealing faces prevents particle buildup, maintaining seal integrity over time.
  • Flexible Piping Integration: Available in multiple connection profiles, including flanged, threaded, butt weld, and socket weld ends.
  • Standard Compliance: Manufactured and tested to conform to standard global engineering specifications.
